Riparian Program

Healthy riparian zones are critical for water quality, fish and wildlife habitats, and ecosystem stability.

The Riparian Grant Program supports landowners in restoring and enhancing these areas through financial and technical assistance.

What the Program Offers:

  • Restoration: Planting native trees, shrubs, and grasses along streambanks.
  • Habitat Benefits: Enhancing habitat for fish, birds, and other wildlife.
  • Water Quality: Improving filtration and reducing sedimentation in streams.

How to Get Involved:

  1. Contact the district to discuss your riparian area, regardless of stream type or location.
  2. Work with district staff to develop a riparian restoration plan tailored to your property.
  3. Receive funding and technical support to implement the project.
