The Ripple Effect

The Washington State Conservation Commission (SCC) is excited to announce the Ripple Effect education campaign, running through May 31, 2025.

This statewide media initiative is designed to raise awareness about the importance of Washington’s waterways, riparian restoration, and conservation programs.

The campaign highlights how land managers, farmers, ranchers, and the public can actively enhance and restore rivers, streams, and creeks to support agricultural productivity and environmental health. To help reach these distinct audiences, two tailored messages were developed—one focused on land managers and working lands, and another designed to engage the general public.

Campaign reach and media outlets

Over the next three months, the Ripple Effect will be featured across multiple media platforms, ensuring widespread visibility:

  • Broadcast TV: Airing in the Seattle market on major networks, reaching an estimated 2.7 million viewers.
  • Streaming Services: Ads on YouTube, Peacock, Hulu, and Roku.
  • Social Media Ads: Running on Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit, reaching over 6.7 million users interested in sustainability and land stewardship.
  • Radio: Featured on stations popular among farmers and land managers across Washington.
  • Billboards & Print Media: Displayed in key rural areas and publications such as the WSU Alumni Magazine, Capital Press, and Wheat Life.
