Implementation Program

The Implementation Program provides funding from the Washington State Conservation Commission to support district operations and conservation efforts.

This program enables the district to partner with landowners on projects that improve natural resources while maintaining agricultural viability.

What It Offers:

  • Cost-share opportunities for projects addressing erosion control, water management, and habitat restoration.
  • Technical support for planning and implementing conservation practices.

How to Participate:

  1. Identify a project need, such as soil erosion reduction, habitat improvement, or irrigation efficiency.
  2. Contact the district to discuss your idea and explore funding opportunities.
  3. Collaborate with staff to develop a plan and secure funding.

Examples of Successful Projects:

  • Erosion Control: Installing terraces and buffer strips to reduce sediment runoff.
  • Irrigation Upgrades: Supporting the transition to drip irrigation systems for water conservation.
  • Riparian Fencing: Protecting sensitive stream areas from livestock access.
